Over the last few weeks I have been tackling Acrylic Pour / Fluid Art.

I have to be honest it has been both a relaxing and frustrating experience - too much paint / too little paint / too much floetrol / wrong consistency / cheap paints

etc. etc. 😫The paint cracked when dry which is because the bottom layer dried quicker than the top. I also used the blow torch a little too much. Once you add the silicone oil it is amazing how the cells appear and very relaxing to watch. I especially like the flip cup pour.

After 12 attempts which proceeded to end up in the rubbish bin and a few tantrums I finally managed to get 6 pieces of art that I was satisfied with.

So what have I learned

* Don't go for cheap paint options ~ I prefer Arteza pouring acrylic or Cadence

* Don't use water invest in a pouring medium such as floatrol

* Allow the paint to percolate ~ Sit and watch the cells evolve

* take time planning and make sure you have everything to hand

* Finally if things don't work out try and try again! PRACTICE makes PERFECT ~ eventually

My canvases are now ready to be incorporated onto My accessories ~ chopping boards, coasters, mugs, placemats, splashbacks and cushion covers.

Thank you for taking the time to read My blog 💋
