Where to start ?

Etsy, folksy, shopify, amazon handmade, zazzle, artfire, website, web builder, wix, fasthosts, Hostgator, go daddy, Google ~ to name a few.

Which is best ? What to name my business ?

The questions I have asked Myself are never ending !

To start at the beginning ~ my business name ~ how difficult can it be, right ! / wrong ! I wanted to use the same name for both emails and business. I started with my actual name in numerous ways but all emails were taken, I was doodling away sat with the tv on in the background and the aristocats came on and I just scribbled (Alis)tocratz, and I thought why not, it's one word, not terribly long and it is different. My name was born 🙂 so in one fell swoop I had my business name and email

YAY !!!

I spent weeks deciding which web builder to use, this was made easier as I knew I wanted an outlet to sell my work but i didn't want to set up an online shop on my web site at this time Wix and etsy seemed to work well together. Decision made 🤔

I built my web site and then added etsy. You may ask do you need a web site if you have etsy, well I personally think you do. Eventually I will have my own online shop once I get my head around everything else, but for now I will let etsy do the majority of the marketing for me.

I won't lie, I have found certain aspects quite difficult, but help is always at hand, you just have to ask.

So my site and etsy are up and running, all I have to do now is get noticed on google, seo, adwords and so on, and so on ! Easier said than done 😫This is a topic for next time, I have waffled on enough for now. Any advice is greatly appreciated
